- [Who We Are](https://bardejov.org/who-we-are-and-our-mission/) - In 2005, the forgotten history of Jewish Bardejov was given a renewed life when Bardejov-born Holocaust survivor Emil Fish returned to his hometown to discover the degradation of places he once knew intimately. Then and there he resolved to restore and preserve these treasured spaces and he founded BJPC the following year.

- [2012 Event](https://bardejov.org/2012-event/) - On May 15–17 2012, the BJPC organized a historic gathering commemorating the 70th anniversary of the deportation of Bardejov’s Jewish population in 1942.
- [2014 Event](https://bardejov.org/2014-event/) - The dedication of the Bardejov Holocaust Memorial took place at 6:00pm on Tuesday, June 24th. The ceremony opened with a special arrangement of the music from the movie Schindler’s List, played by Jozef Patkan. It was followed by an opening speech by Mr. Emil A. Fish, a native of Bardejov and the founder of BJPC.
- [2015 Events](https://bardejov.org/2015-events/) - On Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015, we commemorated the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII at the Holocaust Memorial in Bardejov and the one year anniversary of the dedication of the Memorial.
- [2016 Event](https://bardejov.org/2016-event/) - Our commemorative event at the Bardejov Holocaust Memorial took place on Wednesday, June 15th. The event included speeches by our founder Mr. Emil A. Fish, and by Mr. Martin Choma, representing the City of Bardejov, as well as the recognition of Priest Andrej Romanesko as the 8th Righteous of Bardejov.
- [2017 Event](https://bardejov.org/2017-event/) - Our 2017 Memorial Ceremony in Bardejov took place on Wednesday, June 28th. The event was held inside the Bardejov Holocaust Memorial to mark the 75th anniversary of the mass deportation of Jews from Bardejov in 1942.
- [2018 Event](https://bardejov.org/2018-event/) - Our yearly Memorial in Bardejov was held on Wednesday June 27th. This year’s theme was inspired by the ceremony of the Israeli embassy in Bratislava honoring four people from Bardejov and its vicinity as Righteous Among the Nations.
- [2019 Event](https://bardejov.org/2019-event/) - On the 19th of June, the annual Holocaust commemoration took place in Bardejov’s Jewish Suburbia. The event was hosted by the Bardejov Jewish Preservation Committee and the US Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad , and we were much honored to have the Commission’s Chairman Hon. Paul Packer as our special guest.
